1976 - 1985

In 1977 I gained  the Royal Award for Modern Painting. That opened the door to the Maison Jaune, an Artist in Residence in Murs in the South of France, owned by the Kröller-Müller Museum (NL) . I regularly have been working there from 1978 until 1994, each time during three months. In France I mostly worked in nature “Sur le Motif” with pastels on paper. Under influence of these more lyrical  drawings my Dutch Paintings became more and more looser.
